Over Summer Bone and Wildy are looking at some of the Greatest Sporting Moments in Time. They are looking for those goosebump moments, the sporting feats that sent a tingle up your spine.

One that everyone agrees on is cathey Freeman Winning the 400m at the Sydney Olympics, it is one of those moments that you remember where you were when it happened. The Great Bruce McAvaney shared his Memories of call that great race with the Sports Show.

What are your memories of great sporting moments in time? Share them with us and over summer Bone and Wilds will pick one of the peoples choice moments and interview one of the key people involved in creating a Moment in Time.

Australia wins the America's Cup, 1983.

Dean Lukin from South Australia, became the only weightlifting gold medallist in Australian Olympic history when he won the super-heavyweight division at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

Michael Bevan hits a boundary to win against the West Indies in a one-dayer 1996.

My 3 favourites.

(Not a lot gets me screaming and jumping on the bed but these 3 moments did, )

Steve Waugh getting his century with a 4 off the last ball of the day against England in Sydney.

It was a real goosebump moment... I jumped up out of my seat and screamed.

Great memory

I agree with all Mazz's moments too

Mark Phillipousis winning the the Davis cup for Australia in France was also a great moment.

Fourteen year old Nadia Comăneci, the Romanian gymnast, who won three gold medals at the 1976 Summer Olympics, and the first ever gymnast to be awarded a perfect score of 10 in an Olympic gymnastic event.

Maybe not a goosebump moment but certainly a memorable one when Stephen Bradbury won ice skating gold by simply staying on his feet. I remember the complete shock on his face as he cruised passed the tangled mess of fallen skaters in front of him. Gold by default but deserved all the same

Oh yes,,,,,Nadia I remember that one well.

I didn't see the Steve Waugh or Mark Phillipousis but I bet they would have been great to watch.

Well I don't agree with that, cathey Freeman was the favorite to win that event .
The America's Cup I don't consider a sport, more like a rich mans game.
Stephen Bradbury (who was the rank outsider) winning the gold medal was the greatest sporting moment for me.

Cathy Freemans win was very over rated. She was not really expected to lose and was not running against her nemises.

My best Australian moment in sport was watching Shane Warnes 700 wicket live at the G.

As for the best moment in sport worldwide, hard to pick between a few, but due to my sporting bias..

Hard to go past Roger Bannister breaking the 4 minute mile in 1954, and also Tiger Woods becoming the youngest Masters Champion in history and Cassius Clay shock win over Sonny Liston in 1964.

In 2004 Greece was 250 to 1 before the Euro Cup. They where 150 to 1 to even score a goal . In this tournament they beat the Holders, the Favourites and the Hosts. They won the whole thing. Thats pretty good i rekon

Good one Burnsie!
Unfortunately I don't have a trophy. The trophy went to the school which held it for a year when it was passed to the next winner (ot retained in competition). Crew members were given a commemorative medal, but it was in a container along with my other medals and achievement certificates which went missing while being transported to Oz. Not only that, but the school no longer exists - it's now a housing estate.

Sydney Olympics. Mens 4x100m freestyle win. Beat the unbeatable Americans in world record time with Michael Klim breaking the individual 100m record in the same race. Breathtaking. Also at Sydney the Women's water polo team winning their first ever gold medal with a shot that was in the air when the final siren sounded.

Kim Hughes 100 against the West Indies in 1980/81 season boxing day MCG test match and the Windies 4/10 at stumps with Viv Richards bowled Lillee last ball of the day. 14 weeks fell that day for 190 runs, action happening all day - amazing cricket to watch.

Unfortunately there are far too many and although I could pick out the 98 Grand final win, and even though I thought it was a great game it still probably wasn't a goosebump moment. I think that certain individual feats during a game could be classified as a particularly savoury moment. but that would go for all sports so just too many.
